Who We Are

Beliefs & Mission

foundations of our faith

Our Mission

  • We believe the Bible entirely to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
  • We believe in the Triune Godhead as eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the Right Hand of the Father, and in His present priestly ministry. We believe in evangelism and missionary fervor and endeavor.
  • We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration (rebirth) through the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
  • We further believe in the keeping power of God. We believe in sanctification, holiness of heart and the overcoming life as God’s design for the Church, which is the Bride of Christ.
  • We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, as on the Day of Pentecost, and in the continuing of the Holy Spirit as evidenced in charismatic gifts and ministries of today.
  • We believe in divine healing. We believe in Christ’s imminent, personal return in power and glory, and in His present, everlasting dominion.
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; that they are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and lost unto the resurrection of eternal punishment.

Core Values

core values

Calvary Life’s vision and mission is to help all people develop and enrich their personal walk with Jesus. We desire to see every believer brought to maturity and released into their God-given purpose. Our purpose as a local church is to fulfill the mandate of Jesus, by reaching the lost, building people and families, and bringing hope and restoration to our communities.

Calvary Life a group of believers committed to Jesus from various backgrounds spanning over multiple campuses reaching across the world. Calvary Life Family Worship Center is one of the fastest growing churches in the Northeast. In an area that has been called dry and parched, we have overturned fallow ground and flourished. By God’s grace, Calvary Life has successfully impacted this region with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, compassion outreaches and the uncompromising Word of God.

Under the leadership of Pastors John and Carmela Muratori, Calvary Life has become a melting pot for all nationalities, social classes and generations to worship together and seek the heart of God. Though a relatively young church, Calvary Life has experienced miraculous multiplication.

Engaging Worship

Our desire in worship is to exalt Jesus Christ, and attract His presence in all our services. We believe that corporate worship is vital to our health as a church and is the catalyst for God’s transforming power in our lives.

Expository [ik-spoz-i-tohr-ee] Teaching

Expository means, “explanatory—serving to set forth, make plain and explain.” Our Senior and Teaching Pastors deliver timely, accurate, and life-challenging messages each week. Believers are only as strong as the Word they receive,” and that’s why expository teaching is a core foundation at Calvary Life.

iServe

We believe that God places a church in a community for social transformation. Serving is the life-blood that allows us to permeate the culture with the love of Christ. Whether you are involved in an outreach to your community or a ministry within the church, we believe service and compassion ministry is vital to fulfilling the call God has placed on our church to bring about transformation in our neighborhoods, our nation, and throughout the world.

Leadership Development

Effective leaders are the catalyst for social transformation. We believe it is our responsibility to identify emerging leaders, and provide them with mentorship, training, and support to make a positive impact wherever they are called to lead.

Children’s Ministries

Calvary Life is committed to cultivating a hunger for God in each child by establishing the spiritual foundations they will need for a lifetime. Boys and girls from ages 5 to 11 attend age-appropriate groups in a safe check-in environment, where every worker has passed through ministry training and a background check. Each week, our teachers and assistants prepare a message that includes a variety of interactive ways to engage their age group.

The Loft

Is a worship event with an infectious atmosphere of heart pumping music, relevant and illustrative teaching, drama and much more. The Loft is where students can encounter the love of God and be connected with His hope and purpose for their lives.

Core

Within the student ministry of Calvary Life is Core, an opportunity for advanced mentorship for students who want to intensify their relationship with God and serve Him through hands-on ministry. Core students get a behind-the scenes look at ministry and are given a host of benefits including VIP access to events and exclusive EnCore trips. The Core strives to develop young leaders who desire to discover their unique calling and purpose in Jesus Christ. Through Loft events, social gatherings trips, and Core, our goal is to see that every student experiences the life-changing love of Christ and is fully equipped to live strong for Him in their everyday life.

Small Groups

Small Groups are where you experience the culture of Calvary Life. >We believe your strength comes from your connections. In Small Groups, we form invaluable friendships and experience the love of God. It is a place of belonging where we give and receive strength, encouragement, support and prayer. They also provide an informal, yet dynamic setting where we dig into the weekly teachings of our pastors, and share our response to what we learn.
