Luke 4:31-37
Jesus was a different kind of teacher: “and they were amazed at His teaching, for His message was
with authority.” (31-32). A demon possessed man interrupted Him so Jesus command he be silent and
come out of him. He became free without harm. The people responded, “…’What is this message” For
with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits and they come out.’” (36b). At times we
pursue style, eloquence and humor over a message with authority. May God equip us with a message
of authority and not mere captivating entertainment.
