December Christmas Outreach at Coccomo

Our December outreach at Coccomo was a powerful and deeply meaningful time of ministry. The activities director, staff, and many of the residents have already asked that we return, sharing how refreshed and encouraged they felt by our visit.

We began the evening singing Christmas carols in the community room before moving through the hallways, allowing patients to join in wherever they were. Many sang along, some danced, and the joy on their faces was a beautiful reflection of God’s presence in the room.

Nearly one hundred prayer pillows were distributed to patients and staff. Each pillow contains a small cross inside and displays scriptural prayers, offering both physical comfort and spiritual encouragement.

The Christmas story from Luke chapter 2 was read aloud, followed by a brief message on the importance of accepting Jesus Christ. When the invitation was given to receive a Bible, four patients raised their hands — and by God’s perfect timing, four Bibles were available to give.

We are thankful for this opportunity to serve and to share the hope of Jesus with those at Coccomo. It was a true reminder that God is at work, even in the quietest and most tender places.
