Luke 12:54-59
Jesus rebuked the crowds for being better at analyzing and predicting the weather than discerning the
present spiritual climate. Then He said, “And why do you not even on your own initiative judge what is
right?” (57) He said it’s like a man on the way to court who fails to make an effort to settle with his
opponent before standing in front of the judge. Then it will be too late and the consequence of his
decision is irreversible. There is a judgment to come, and we would be wise to get things right with God
before arriving at His throne. There will be no second chances there and the consequence is our
eternal destiny. Let us discern the time before it is too late!
