Luke 18:1-8
“Now He was telling them a parable to show that at ALL TIMES they ought to PRAY and NOT LOSE
HEART,…” (1) There was a judge absent of the fear of God and respect for man approached by a
widow asking for protection from an opponent. Even though he lacked the fear of God and did not value
humanity, because of her persistence she was able to get to him. Then Jesus said, “…now, will not God
bring about justice for His elect who cry out to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them?”
(7) God does respond to our cry, but His greater concern for us is that we persist in faith and not be
governed by fear. “…However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” (8) Losing
heart only occurs when we cease praying.
