Luke 2:21-38
“And when the days for their purification according to the law of Moses were completed, they brought
Him up to Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord” (22) Joseph and Mary brought the offering designated
in God’s word. They were not wealthy, famous, religious leaders, or highly educated. However, they
were aware of, and faithful to God’s word presenting Him to God as Scripture indicated. Here, in the
place of obedience to God's word, they received confirmation of Who Jesus is, clarification of His
future, and preparation to face difficult times. They were blessed and made ready for their adventure in
God. Only as we are aware of God’s word and faithful to it, are we equipped for success in His plan.
