Luke 17:20-21
When Pharisees asked Jesus when God’s kingdom would come, He said: “…The kingdom of God is
not coming with signs to be observed; nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ Or, ‘There it is!’ For behold,
the kingdom of God is in your midst.” (20b-21). Because the Pharisees anticipated a political kingdom,
they were blinded to its present reality in Jesus. The kingdom of God is wherever the King exercises
HIs authority. Let us be careful lest faulty perceptions, or definitions of, God’s kingdom cloud our ability
to see its present reality!
