John 12:44-50 “It’s Not Personal!”

“And Jesus cried out and said, ‘He who believes in Me, does not believe in Me, but in Him who sent Me. He who sees Me sees the One who sent Me.’” (44-45) All Jesus did and said originated from the heavenly Father. So perfectly did He do this that hearing and seeing Him was the same as hearing and seeing God. For this reason He was not distracted or offended by those who rejected Him or HIs ministry. In contrast he stayed focus on His attention to His Father and His assigned Mission (47b). He trusted in God’s word and left the consequences [results] of their rejection to His Father. He was truly transparent allowing God to be seen in His words and deeds (50). When we truly represent God, we do not take rejection personally for it is God’s issue not our issue.
