“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one;” (22) Glory and honor does not come through our achievements but through unity with God. The kind of unity demonstrated by Jesus is seen as He yielded to His Father’s will. This unity produces a ministry of power that honors God by demonstrating His incredible love. In the same way the Father loves His Son, He loves us (23)! It is breathtaking that Jesus prays to His Father for us to enjoy the same glory and love He enjoys by being in unity with Him. Unity among God’s family does not come from by mere adjustment or tuning to each other. First of all, we must be in unity with God and from this relationship emerges a unity with each other. Jesus had made God known [His Name] so we can enjoy the incredible love He enjoys. This only occurs when we are humbly united with Him. From this unity flows glory!
