“From that city many of the Samaritans believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, ‘He told me all the things that I have done.’” (39) Don’t underestimate the power of your testimony. When they came to Jesus, their faith was fortified being in His presence and hearing Him speak and some recognized Him as the Savior of the world (42)! Jesus honored their request and stayed for two more days. Leaving Samaria, He did not return home [Nazareth] saying, “…a prophet has no honor in his own country.” (44b). Instead He went to Galilee for, “…the Galileans received Him, having seen all the things that He did in Jerusalem at the feast;…” (45b). Those who traveled to Jerusalem to worship God witnessed His miracles, and therefore, received and believed in Jesus. Jesus still desires to be in the presence of those who believe and receive Him. Let us hunger for His presence!
