“Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of Life.’” (12) Jesus is the only source of light enabling correct perception leading to life. However, to walk in light, we must follow Him. We do not follow our own ideas, concepts, dreams, or strategies, but we are attentive to Him and embrace what He says. Walking in light demands we walk in intimacy with Jesus. Without this, we will walk blindly. We must continuously make the choice to follow Jesus or we will be swallowed up by the darkness of this world. However, when we follow Him, we walk in the light leading us to Life!
