“Now Joshua was old and advanced in years when the LORD said to him, ‘You are old and advanced in years, and very much of the land remains to be possessed.’” (1) As Joshua neared the end of his life and leadership, God spoke by him to exhort Israel of land not yet taken. Even though we have transitions of leadership, God does not abandon us in areas not yet conquered. As a matter of fact, even these unconquered territories were allocated to the tribes. Let us not become content where we are, but look to God for leadership in finishing what He has started: “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6). We rest in the God Who knows our unconquered territories to complete His work!
