Pastor John discusses 2 conflicting biblical instructions. The first biblical instruction deals with planning for the future and leaving a legacy for our children, found in Proverbs 6:6 and 13:22. In fact according to Pastor John 90% of the bible talks about legacy.
It i’s easy to want to live and plan for the future when times are good. But in Matt 6:25, Jesus talks about taking no thought for your life; what you eat or drink or wear. In times of crisis, it’s difficult or even impossible to think about the future. All you can think of is making it to tomorrow. Our God is the God of our tomorrows. When you wonder if you can survive, God has got you, trust him. Don’t try to do it yourself. Let God handle it at these times.
