As we close out the final service of 2025, this message challenges us to leave behind past struggles and step into a new year with spiritual clarity and purpose. Rooted in Genesis, we’re reminded that God is not only the Creator of all things—but the Creator of environments.
From the very beginning, God established boundaries and atmospheres—separating light from darkness, land from sea, and placing humanity within an environment designed for success. Throughout Scripture, we see a consistent truth: what thrives depends on where it lives. Fish are made for water. Lions are made for land. And people are made to live in the presence of God.
The enemy’s strategy has always been to lure people out of God-given environments into places where faith, peace, and obedience cannot survive. This is seen in the fall of Adam and Eve, Lot’s choice of Sodom, Israel’s struggle after leaving Egypt, and even in our modern lives—homes, relationships, workplaces, and churches.
Every environment is shaped by boundaries and atmosphere. When boundaries are crossed, environments become destructive. When atmospheres are filled with fear, anger, compromise, or deception, spiritual growth is hindered. But God works powerfully in environments of worship, prayer, obedience, and divine assignment.
Church is not meant to be entertainment—it is a place to encounter God, reset our atmosphere, and realign our lives with His purpose. A relationship with Christ must impact more than Sunday mornings; it must transform our homes, choices, relationships, and daily living.
As we enter a new year, the call is clear:
Discern the environments you allow into your life.
Change what needs to change.
Protect what God is building.
When we remain in the environment of God’s presence, the enemy cannot thrive—and God’s purpose can fully unfold.
