Pastor John reminds us Revelation starts with a blessing (Rev 1:3) and ends with a curse (Rev 23:18-19). Blessed is he who reads, hears and heeds the words of prophecy for the time is near.
By Rev 2, Jesus is speaking to His 7 churches. Pastor John tells us of the history and culture of the day and how impurity of doctrine starting creeping in even though it was just a short time after Jesus died and was resurrected.
Pastor John points out the Ephesus’ heart was not centered on Jesus though they were holding to correct doctrine. We need to be radical for Jesus, to fall in love with Him allover again.
