In the packed Part 2 of Family Fortified, Pastor John implores us to not minimize what Eve was up against in the Garden. It was Lucifer, the former anointed cherubim and a powerful enemy. The serpent (Satan) manipulated Eve, using her own desires “to be as a god” and not some simple hunger issue. This was just the first of his incessant attacks on the family (as we are experiencing today). Satan’s goal: Adam had to fall so he would not be able to fulfill the dominion mandate (Gen 1:26).
